ABSTRACT
This study explores the use of TikTok as an innovative authoring tool for teaching basic jazz guitar reharmonization techniques within the framework of Education 5.0. Utilizing a Design and Development Research approach combined with an Experimental Case Study design, qualitative data was collected through document analysis, expert interviews, and user feedback. The findings reveal that TikTok’s format and features—particularly its short videos and interactive elements—are highly effective in conveying complex musical concepts when integrated with a bite-sized learning framework. User feedback indicated high levels of satisfaction and engagement with the instructional content, underscoring the platform’s alignment with Education 5.0’s emphasis on personalized and technology driven learning experiences. While TikTok’s potential extends beyond music education, this study highlights its effectiveness in creating engaging and accessible content across various educational disciplines. The integration of bite-sized learning strategies within TikTok demonstrates its capability to enhance learning experiences and advance the goals of Education 5.0, making it a valuable tool for educators in the evolving landscape of modern education.
